After the heartbreaking and unexpected death of her beloved daughter Nandana, Chitra got a break from singing. The talented singer currently got back to the mike recently to sing a lullaby for a Malayalam film.
The music world has been missing the legendary singer who has recorded more than 15,000 film songs and is a recipient of six National Film Awards, five Filmfare Awards and more than thirty different state film awards.
It was really a heartrending moment when Chitra sang the song for the film Istham + Sneham = Amma. Noted music director MG Sreekumar set the tunes for this lullaby.
Those who have heard the song say that Chitra’s voice was filled with emotions and she was fighting tears to control the sorrow.
